The Underground Hotel / China

A fascinating 5-star underground hotel in Shanghai is going to begin construction soon, with a big investment of 500 million yuan.

The tourist paradise is to be built in a huge cave at the Tianma Shan (Heaven Horse Mountain) (also known as Shaoxiang Shan or Burning Incense Mountain as in ancient times the mountain was a Buddhist resort and worshippers came to offer incense to Buddha). 

 There will be three floors above the ground, and 17 floors under ground, including one submerged under water.

In the hotel, customers will enjoy the Bungee jumping and other entertainment facilities, as well as a fabulous waterfall running through the exterior structure.

It was said the hotel, designed by Jochman Martin, won an award for best architectural design of hotels.
